BNSC Ladies 60s Tennis Team put up great fight!

Blackburn Northern’s 60s team proud of National Seniors League final performance

Blackburn Northern’s 60s Tennis team -  comprising Aileen Hext, Roberta Holtby, Liz Maskell and Michelle Watts - travelled to Winchester on 4th December to play Winchester Racquets & Fitness in the final of the National Seniors League.

Despite all the matches being hard-fought, the team lost 3-1 but nevertheless returned home proud of their performance and grateful for the opportunity to compete in a national final for the first time ever.

Everyone who played in the rounds leading up to the final should be congratulated for their performance.  Without their help, the 60s team would not have made it to Winchester.

A big thank you also to Debbie Catlow, who as non-playing captain arranged all the matches and gave the team her continuous support.

Thank you to everyone at the Club for their good luck wishes for every match and for taking an interest in the 60s team.
