BNSC TENNIS RESULTS UPDATES
Ladies 70s
On 16th October the BBN Ladies 70s team played the semi-final of the Interclub National Knockout against Byfleet in Surrey. While the match provided great tennis the ladies unfortunately lost against a very experienced team that included three GB players. The match was concluded whilst Roberta and Aileen were a set up and 1-1 in the fourth rubber. The match was played in a very good and fair spirit and they provided an excellent tea afterwards.

Lancashire Ladies 70s
After winning Division 1 in the 70s County Cup, Lancashire ladies travelled to Southampton to play a final against the other regional division champions, Surrey, on Friday 24th October. The team lost 4-0. Roberta and Aileen lost the first match on a championship tie break 10-8, while Lesley and Irene also lost on a championship tie break 10-7. In the second round Roberta and Aileen lost 4 and 4, whilst Lesley and Linda lost 4 and 2. A great performance from everyone throughout the season, with all thoroughly enjoying the competition and a great weekend away. Roll on next season.....
