Blackburn Northern Hockey Club Mens 1st team have earned themselves a place in the Lancashire Trophy final after a fantastic 3-2 win against Blackpool 1st on Sunday
The team travelled up to Blackpool expecting a really tough match but confident against the team who are currently top of the division above them, Blackburn Northern have had a faultless season so far with 14 straight league wins out of 14 games played.
Blackburn Northern finished the game 3-2 but dominated the game for large periods and should have come away with a bigger score line, goals were scored from their impressive penalty corner routines, David Wieczorek x2 and Garry Makin x1, Play of the match went to Chris Rowell.
Blackburn will play Lancaster University 1st in the final on Sunday 9th March at Preston Hockey Club.
