Ladies 50s Interclub Tennis Success

BNSC Ladies Over 50s Tennis : Interclub Success

Blackburn Northern Ladies over-50s team competed in the national inter-club competition 1st round match on 24th May at Strathgryffe Tennis club in Scotland. The team was Sue Liver, Michelle Watts, Laura Blomeley and Angela Newman.

Sue and Michelle hit top form winning both their rubbers, dropping only two games all morning. Angela and Laura fought very hard in their two rubbers, losing them only narrowly. Overall our Ladies team won on games "count back".

Well done to the team, who had to change their travel plans at the last minute due to trains being cancelled "up north" due to inclement weather.   Laura kindly drove the team safely there and back, with, of course, the Tebay service station pit-stop on the way home - for well deserved shopping.!!
