Chess Update

Both the A team and D team lost heavily in their respective semi finals.

The A team lost 0.5-4.5 to Burnley A in the Lucas Shield competition and the D team lost 1-4 to Gt.Harwood B in the Dennis Otter trophy.

The club's only hope of silverware this season rests with the C team who are also in a semi final.

The two club competitions have started with around 20 members taking part.

The club's "Rook trophy" for the 2017/18 season was shared by Martyn Hamer and Graham Dobson who managed to play four games in the final  without a positive result!

...... but it is all about taking part, not just pieces!
